Have you been looking for the perfect treat for mother’s day?
Be it for your mother, on behalf of your children or those mums that just want to treat themselves, Guylian Belgian Chocolates have just the treat for you.
We were offered to review the Guylian Praline Sea Shells and it would have been against all of my chocolate loving morals to say no. So putting my diet aside I agreed to review these for my readers only, not for my own enjoyment.
Who was I kidding?
After reviewing the Guylian Chocolate Easter Egg recently I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the Praline Shells.
Guylian Praline Sea Shells are a classic, being made from only the finest premium Belgian Chocolate with handpicked Mediterranean hazelnuts.
What more could a mum ask for than a scrumptious box of silky mouth-watering pralines and a soak in the tub? To me right now that sounds like heaven, especially with a toddler that insists on joining me in the bathroom and passing me toys to play with in the bath. a box of these is certain to win you brownie points this Mother’s Day. (If my partner is reading then please see this very subtle hint)
I was very reserved in opening the box, mainly because I had a pesky toddler with quick hands and an eye for things that do not belong to her like mummies chocolates.
When she was tucked up in bed I knew it was safe to sit down, relax and crack open my chocolates. Lounging on the sofa was not an option as my parent had beaten me to it to play his games. In my revenge I neglected to tell him about my box of yummy treats.
In the well resented box lay 22 yummy chocolates, containing milk, dark and white chocolate, I was spoilt for choice. I had planned on being good and holding back but before I knew it I had eaten 6.
The shells are exquisitely designed with excellent detailing, featuring seahorses, shells and even little shrimp. I was amazed how intricate they were but let’s not forget what is most important, the taste. Well there are certainly no complaints here; I love the soft praline and the crisp outer shell. I’m not really a big lover of nuts but I sure love a well-made praline and the Guylian Sea Shells sure do hit the spot.
As well as creating fabulous chocolates, Guylian have undertaken project Seahorse. A project dedicated to preserving seahorses and other marine life throughout the world. Guylian provides vital long term support for this crucial work and has been a major partner since 1999.
Seahorses function as flagship species for a wide range of marine conservation projects. These magical but fragile creatures are a good indicator of healthy coastal ecosystems, meaning that saving the seahorses = saving the seas!
So each time you buy a box a box of Guylian Belgian Chocolate Sea Shells and Sea Horses, you are helping to save seahorses and the seas. You can find out more about Project Seahorse here www.projectseahorse.org.
So go on spoil your mum for mother’s day and buy her a box of Guylian Sea Shells
Sea Shells are available in a 250g box (RRP £3.99) from all good supermarkets.
