Review – Baby Boom Boom

Isabelle loves to dance and will always sing along (well attempt to in her own little fashion when she hears music)

We we offered the chance to review a Multilingual CD from Baby Boom Boom

These Cd’s are a great way to help your child pick up another language and become bilingual from an early age. Now we know the older you get the harder it is to pick things up so why not start to teach your child another language from the start?

They are a fun way to pick up a new language in the form of familiar nursery songs. We were sent the English and French CD which contains lots of nursery rhymes including
• Old MacDonald
• Five Little Ducks
• The Mulberry Bush
• Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
• This Little Piggy
• Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes
• Itzy Bitzy Spider
• Round and Round the Garden
• Tommy Thumb
• The Alphabet Song
• Brother John
• The Wheels on the Bus
• London Bridge
• If you’re happy and you know it
Baby Boom Boom

I loved how the CD never included the  ‘we say now you say’ style of learning, but more of the listen and join in learning. Even though Isabelle is still only 10 months old she is picking sounds up at an excellent rate and already has a vocabulary of nine words. The CD is an excellent way of learning, it makes learning fun and familiar for children. Is a great way to introduce your little one to a new language. The choice of songs is great and they are instantly recognisable, Isabelle recognised most of the songs from her play group so was very excited to hear them at home.

Another great thing about the CD is that it is not repetitive it does not dictate to repeat sentences or anything like that so the child can naturally pick up and learn lines from the song.

The songs are sung a verse at a time in English then repeated in French, I even found myself singing along.

Baby Boom Boom also have other products to go with their Cd’s including a baby band bag and a junior band bag which include musical instruments for babies and younger children. They are great for little hands to hold and play with making learning very fun and enjoyable.

There are many languages to choose from including French, German, Italian, Polish and even Chinese Mandarin.

Starting at £9.99 for a CD and £19.99 for a CD + Band Bag these make great gifts and are great value for money.
