This week has been a bit of a write off in terms of getting out and about, caused by sub zero temperatures and snow (In March?!) so the furthest we have ventured is to the shops and also to nanas house to do Easter crafting. On a trip to nanas house, Isabelle was asked if she would like a baby brother or a baby sister when she is older, she took a few moments to muse over her reply before throwing this at us
“A baby hippo, please”
Bewildered, I asked again “So not a baby brother or sister?”
“No thank you mummy” topped off with a hand gesture, “A Hippo” she confirmed as she continued to glue chicks to her Easter basket (minus the eyes and beaks as they did not meet her approval)
It left me thinking, what goes on in the mind of a curious toddler?
