Review – Dino Daisy Amber Teething Necklace

Every mum knows that while babies are a joy, they can also bring with them the occasional challenge. It’s no secret that Isabelle has been driving herself (and us parents) nutty whilst teething, she has been to hell and back over the past few months and only has the one tooth to show for it. Upon doing research we came across Amber Teething Necklaces, at first I was a little unsure “how can a necklace help with teething discomfort?”  but they came recommended by other parents.

When the lovely people at Dino Daisy offered us the chance to review one of their necklaces we were thrilled to give it a go.

Baltic amber has been used for healing and well-being for centuries and when worn by your babies the warmth from their bodies helps to release the Amber’s natural oils into the skin which then soothes the misery aches and pains caused by teething. This is a 100% natural way of soothing teething pains.

Dino daisy have a vast array of products from necklaces to anklets in many amber designs. I had lots of trouble choosing the design that I wanted and finally settled on “Bumble”

From making my selection and receiving the item the process only took one day, yes it really was that fast and I was truly impressed with the speedy delivery. The necklace arrived in its own little drawstring bag which was a lovely added touch.

Not one to waste time I put it on Isabelle straight away, she did look rather cute wearing it but it was a little odd to see my little girl wearing a necklace after months of seeing her as my little baby wearing baby-grows.

Whilst teething Isabelle has been very restless in her sleep and often waking up a few times during the night in discomfort. After a few days of wearing the necklace we noticed a big improvement at night. She hadn’t woken up one and there are now times when we find her in the same place as when we put her to bed. There has been a noticeable difference in her moods during the day, we have had days of grumpiness and crying but that has been reduced the only crying that we tend to get now is out of frustration when she is attempting to do something. I really wish I had thought about getting one sooner.

Not only do they look great but the quality is amazing too. I have a very boisterous 10 month old and the necklace is very robust that she has not been able to remove or break it. The “clasp” is of the screw in variety so very fiddly for little hands which mean they cannot remove it.

They would make a great gift for pregnant friends/relatives instead of the usual baby gifts of baby-grows and teddies.
