As a parent I don’t think I have watched any adult TV during the day, I have the joys of watching Disney Junior over and over again.
No other channels make the cut with Isabelle and believe me I have tried introducing her to other shows but she is just not interested.
What makes this channel so special that my child refuses to watch any other? Well it is home to Mickey Mouse of course and all of his chums over at Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. This show captivates her, she sings along with the theme tune, shouts “Oh Toodles”, dances and helps them along in their adventures. Her favourite part of the show is always near the end when they all join in the “Hot Dog Dance” In fact the first song that she learnt was the Hot Dog song, the very same song that she sings when pottering around the house.
So what’s the allure of Mickey Mouse? When I was younger, I too was captivated by the sensational mouse and his friends. I sported a rather fetching pair of Minnie Mouse earmuffs that I refused to take off until the summer, although I am sure I would have continued to wear them if they had not have mysteriously gone missing. It’s safe to say I was a big Disney and Mickey Mouse fan growing up, how could I not love him? He is the official Disney mascot and every child recognises him, Disney all started with that very Mouse
“I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing –
that it was all started by a mouse” – Walt Disney
From the old black and white films to Mickey Mouse clubhouse, I still enjoy watching them and it’s great that I can share my love for the cheerful character with my daughter.
She is now at an age where she recognises characters and her face lit up recently and she squealed with delight when she saw an advert for the Fisher Price Master Moves Mickey, declaring “Ista Mitty Moose” (of course translated that becomes It’s Mickey Mouse). It would be the perfect present that ticks all of her boxes, she loves to dance, sing and of course it’s Mickey Mouse. With her love of dancing, Master Moves Mickey would make the ideal present for her this year, in fact we have put it on her list to Santa for this Christmas; I know she would love nothing more than to bust a move with Master Moves Mickey.
Master Moves Mickey sports some amazing dance moves including his signature handstand along with 14 other moves (that’s 15 in total…I know it’s impressive that he has more dance moves than I do) and 8 original songs to get you boogying. Being suitable for children aged 2 and over he’s arrived just in time for Isabelle’s 2nd Birthday or Christmas this year.
What’s more if you upload a video of your child dancing along to Mickey then you could win a £1000 cash prize and a bundle of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toys!
