There are many different holiday types and caravan holidays are a popular choice amongst many.
There are two main types of caravans to choose from – touring and static – the latter being found at a caravan park of your choice.
So, let’s take a look at what makes the two variations suitable for certain people and what makes them different…
Static Caravans
Static caravans aren’t regularly towed, so they will usually stay at the holiday park where they have been placed.
But what else sets them apart?
Space – These caravans usually have more space than a touring van, so they can come equipped with fitted kitchens and other appliances that make your stay feel more homely. You can also leave behind things that you may need for your next holiday (if you choose to own one), so you can utilise space in your caravan and suitcase – you’ll have less to pack, and more room for souvenirs!
No towing required – With these caravans they’re already at a range of sites, so you can choose your favourite one. Therefore, you don’t have to think about towing anything behind you, which can work out to be very heavy to transport. Instead, you can just get going to enjoy everything that your caravan park has to offer.
Rent out – If you own a static caravan, you can rent it out when you’re not using it. You can make some money with this, whilst allowing another group to enjoy their holiday! It will then be ready for whenever you decide to return.
Holidaying in a static caravan might be the best option for you if you don’t have enough space to store a touring caravan at home.
It’s definitely the more homely form of caravan, where you can adventure, then comfortably unwind at your chosen location!
Touring
On the other hand, these types of caravans have the ability to be towed wherever you want to go, so you can establish your stay at a range of different locations.
It’s time to look at more reasons why people may choose these holidays:
Last minute holiday decisions – With these types of holidays, they are always available, as your caravan would usually be parked in your garage or near your house when you’re not holidaying. Therefore, you can up and leave when it suits you most!
Freedom and choice – When you start travelling with this caravan, there are a range of sites that you can travel to – both in and outside of the UK. So, there may be more options for the type of destination you want to travel to.
Money – Touring caravan prices are often great value, as you can pitch from a variety of sites and can look for the best value option. It can also work out to be cheaper than hotels, so why not try this alternative way to travel?
Overall, if your holiday group is the type to want to plan multiple destinations in one trip, a touring caravan may be for you!
But, where will you explore first?
Have a look into both of these options and see which type of caravan holiday is best for you!
