Back in the days when I visited the newsagents on my way home from school, there were always a few standard purchases and more often that not it included a single piece of bubblegum with a tattoo contained inside it’s red wrapper, I think they were called ‘Happy Tattoo’. Everybody wore them and they were the coolest thing possible for 8 year old me. Of course they were not permitted in school so they were reserved for the weekends and school holidays. I remember being particularly excited one year that me and my best friend happened to get matching tattoos during the Easter holidays and that made us even cooler. My mum would scrub at my arms on a Sunday night to remove the often fading and part removed tattoos that clung to the hairs on my arm.

Obviously Little Legs is far too young for gum but she is partial to an occasional surprise egg which often contain the familiar brightly coloured temporary tattoo. We’re fairly relaxed parents so have no problem with Little Legs sporting a little tattoo on her at the weekend as long as it is removed ready for school on Monday morning.

Toca Ink have teamed up with the Brooklyn-based tattoo artist Virginia Elwood who has created 6 fun temporary tattoos inspired by the ever so popular characters of Toca Boca. Toca is a game app that is becoming increasingly popular, in fact we have at least one of the games available on every one of our android devices at home. Little legs is particularly fond of Toca Pet Doctor and Toca Town, she absolutely loves them.  The games have been an absolute hit with children worldwide with over 75 million downloads. The temporary tattoos designed by Virginia are bright, intricate and charismatic, they are playful designs that appeal to boys and girls. I’m sure Little Legs wouldn’t be able to contain her excitement if she had the opportunity to wear these.
