Review - Tekkers Clothing

On Wayne Rooney’s Street Striker, the ex-professional football player Andy Ansah coined he phase “Unbelievable Tekkers” which caught on and has become a well-used phrase within the Football world meaning “Unbelievably good technique”

Andy Ansah used this phrase to launch his clothing brand Tekkers. It is a cultural clothing brand with football at its centre of gravity. His debut fashion label which has had Celebrities such as Wayne Rooney, Ricky Whittle and Ashley Cole spotted sporting his brand.

The lovely people at Tekkers offered us a hoodie to review as part of Isabelle’s Christmas Advent Calendar and they were very kind as to offer us a T-Shirt to give away.

Now in our household we are absolutely clueless about Football and have no idea who plays for which team so we were a little worried that the clothing would be a little too sporty but when the hoodie arrived we were pleasantly surprised. My partner AJ was going to put the hoodie to the test.

The hoodie itself is all you need to stay warm until spring! Designed by Andy Ansah the zipped hoodie features a patterned screen print of the catchphrase with draw cord, and 2 split kangaroo pockets on the front. The makeup of the fabric is the best part; it’s 70%cotton and 30% polyester. Sounds like the perfect combination of durability and comfort. It actually it looks better then on the picture which I didn’t think was possible, also it’s very soft inside and excellent quality. AJ now picks this hoodie out as his preferred hoodie of choice to wear. It has proved durable and even washes well. I thought that it might have lost some of its elasticity and shape but it hasn’t even after numerous times in the washing machine and dryer.
