I don’t really mention our pets a lot on this blog but they are very much a part of our lives, this here is Sandy our German Shepard. She’s an old girl coming in at 15/16 years old and it’s starting to show. She’s struggling with her hips quite a bit, her hearing isn’t great and sadly she’s slowly going blind but that doesn’t stop her being the loving and caring dog that she is.
Over the past few years she’s put on a bit of weight, being the slightly tubby dog compared to her slender youthful self. Not because she is over fed but because she struggles on long walks with her arthritic hips. She enjoys sleeping, curling up by the fire but mostly she loves a good tickle and belly rub.
She’s done really well to get to the age she is now and I hope she continues to be comfortable in her old age.
![[AD] This year has been full of changes, we’ve homeschooled, we’ve worked from home (and still do) and as a result, we have spent more time in the house than we have out. It’s been no surprise that our monthly utility bills have increased over that period.
