Days out in Manchester

Days out in Manchester 2

Manchester is a diverse and vibrant city of arts and culture, and a hotspot for entertainment, the perfect place for a day out this summer.

Manchester is my hometown, so I might be a little biased when I say that it’s ‘The City’ to visit, with something for everyone. It’s not all about the nightlife though, Manchester is a great place to visit for families. Whether you are here for just a day, or you have booked hotels in Manchester for an extended stay, there is plenty to see and do.

If you are looking for some ideas for places to visit and things to do with your family when you visit Manchester, here are my top picks for a great family day out.

Play Factore

I know that play centres can be a Parents worst nightmare but when the weather isn’t great, my little ones favourite place to go is Play Factore. It’s the UKs largest indoor family entertainment area, boasting the tallest standing indoor slide.

I won’t lie, it’s possibly one of my favourite places too, mainly because it’s one of the few places like this that actually allow the adults to take part in the fun (Even though I bruised my coccyx, I have no slide regrets!)

As well as the play frame area, there’s also a small go-karting track, zip wire, laser tag and a VR Pod.  Play Factore has it’s own Italian coffee shop & Italian Pizzeria on site which serves a great selection of fresh and healthy food, all made on site. It’s hands down, the best food that I have come across in a play centre.

Chill Factore

If you are looking for something a little different, then look no further. Manchester is home to the UK’s longest indoor real snow slope. It’s packed full of fun activities for all the family, including sledging, skiing, snowboarding and downhill donuts.

Reddish Vale Farm

Reddish Vale Farm is the perfect spot for those sunny days. Having just undergone a refurbishment, Reddish Vale Farm is our go-to spot for sunny days. It features a riding school, animal farm, play barn, onsite café, tractor rides and a large outdoor play area.

Dino Falls Adventure Golf (Trafford)

For those dinosaur loving enthusiasts, Dino Falls Adventure Golf is a great way to spend a few hours in your afternoon over an 18 par adventure golf course. We’re very competitive when it comes to adventure golf.

Tree Top Trek (Heaton Park)

Heaton Park is one of our favourite places to go as a family. Over recent years they have added a new addition to their activities with Tree Top Trek. An award winning aerial adventure through a woodland canopy.

LegoLand Discovery Centre (Trafford Centre)

Who doesn’t like Lego?
LegoLand Discovery Centre is our go to place when the weather isn’t so great. With rides, Lego activities, play area and a 4D cinema, it’s a great spot to spend your afternoon. You can also find deals on joint admission for LegoLand Discovery Centre and SeaLife Manchester

SeaLife Manchester (Trafford Centre)

It doesn’t matter how many times we have been to visit, Little Leg’s always wants to return to SeaLife Manchester.

We were gifted spending money for the day by Hotels.com, but all views are my own
