Review: Lakeland Furniture Montego 4 Seater Rattan Sofa Set & Coffee Table

With Spring finally in the air after a long winter, it means that we can spend more time outside and prepare the garden for the warmer months to come.  I am definitely my happiest when outdoors, whether that’s cosying up with a book and a glass of wine by the chimenea in the evenings or those sunny afternoons enjoying family BBQs in the garden. We have spent the past couple of weekends now starting the garden tidy up after winter which meant it was the perfect opportunity for us when Lakeland Furniture kindly offered to send the Montego Garden 4-Seater Rattan Effect Sofa Set to review.

The arrival of the sofa set and table has come just in time for the longer days and the much needed sunshine.

The Lakeland Furniture Montego Rattan Effect Sofa Set includes:

• One rattan effect loveseat sofa in grey with a padded seat cushion and two back rest cushions
• Two rattan effect armchairs in grey, each with a padded seat cushion and a back rest cushion
• One rectangle rattan effect coffee table in grey with a curved edge glass top

The set has stylish metal aluminium legs in a wood effect finish which give me strong 70s retro furniture vibes.
The set itself is waterproof including the cushions; so, there is no worry about having to rush outside to bring in the cushions when the good ol’ British rain makes an appearance. Although, I have ordered a generic one size fits all type set of protective covers because we have quite a lot of wildlife and birds in our garden and I want to reduce the risk of accidents in the furniture. As well as being waterproof, all seat padding is made of a comfortable high-density foam which retains its shape. It’s really easy to clean and maintain rattan which makes it the perfect stylish outdoor seating solution.

The set arrived in one huge box and the items inside were well padded and protected. The set was really easy to assemble using the simple instructions provided. The set included all the fixings and tools needed to assemble. It was a case of simply attaching the legs to the ready built seat frames.

The addition of the Montego Rattan Effect Sofa Set really has made such a difference and we’ve already spent some evenings outside sitting by the chimenea to unwind after a long working week. Overall, I’m really pleased with the Montego Set, not only does it look beautiful and contemporary, it is also most importantly comfortable and very sturdy. As long a it is well maintained, the set should last for many years to come.

We’ve undergone somewhat of a garden makeover over the past year, going from a muddy space the dogs used to play,  into a tranquil place that we can relax in and enjoy. Now we just need to finish pressure washing the decking before we treat and paint the deck and fence panels in the coming weeks. All before we construct the pergola over the decking which will complete our cosy seating area, making it the perfect place to be in summer.
