#AD| Little Legs was recently gifted a voucher to go wild in @smiggle_uk. As part of their #JustBeYou campaign she was allowed to pick anything that she wanted to to show her own individuality (what child wouldn’t want free reign in a Smiggle store?) ⠀⠀
We’ve always been supportive of letting Little Legs pick her own unique style and she’s had the freedom to develop her likes and dislikes. As a result, she’s rarely discouraged by the opinion of others and is happy with who she is. I hope that she continues to have that confidence as she gets older.

New year is usually the time when people make chan

New year is usually the time when people make changes, whether it’s in the form of resolutions, lifestyle changes etc. This is the first time that I’ve started a new year without thinking “this is the year that I lose weight”. Previously, I’d lose a few lbs here and there, trying different diets but I never stuck to it. I can’t blame anything other than my own lack of willpower.

August 2019 I decided enough was enough, I was tired all the time, my body ached, I was obese and extremely unfit. Better late than never, I completely changed my lifestyle, my approach to food/diet and even joined the gym (and stuck to it!) I’m not saying its been easy because it’s by far one of the hardest things I’ve done. Making that change is tough and it’s difficult not to slip back to old ways.
I’ve purposefully kept any mentions of losing weight off social media, not because I didn’t want others to know but because this journey so far has been for me.
I’m now 4.5 stone down and no longer obese. I’m fitter than I ever have been and most importantly, I’m happy. I still have a long way to go to achieve my goals and I know I’m still overweight but just 5 months ago, I was that girl in those first couple of photos.
