You may have been following Little Leg’s on her journey this past few weeks, if you haven’t Little Legs decided that she wanted to complete the Great Manchester Run. Today was her big day.
She’s never taken part in any kind of organised running event before and the 2018 Simplyhealth Junior & Mini Great Manchester Run was the perfect introduction for her.
The atmosphere, the crowds of support and the event staff truly made for a spectacular event, Little Leg’s had an amazing time and is already planning her next event (The Mr better keep his running shoes handy)
For Little Leg’s it wasn’t about her times or how fast she ran. She wanted to be a part of something, she wanted an achievement and today, she got both.
I’d definitely recommend taking part at least once, Little Leg’s will definitely be back next year. For now she is proudly showing everyone her medal and making her dad get up early for morning run before school. It’s been a great experience for her.
I’m immensely proud of her, not only did she discover a love for something new, she pushed herself, she believed in herself and she supported those around her with words of encouragement.

![[AD] This year has been full of changes, we’ve homeschooled, we’ve worked from home (and still do) and as a result, we have spent more time in the house than we have out. It’s been no surprise that our monthly utility bills have increased over that period.
