Having recently changed brands of soothers from a tradiotional cherry shape to the MAM Soothers I thought I would give the MAM Night Soothers a go and put them to the test.
Isabelle is very fussy about her soothers, she has to be able to pick them up easily and also be able to put them in her mouth without too much hassle and fuss. She also needs to be able to keep the soother in her mouth as we had tried alternative soothers previously that had fallen out of her mouth if she was actively doing something.
Tonight was time to put the Night soother through its paces. At 8pmI took Isabelle to bed and offered her the soother whilst I prepared her bed, staright away she was able to pick up the soother and without hesitation she put it to her mouth with no fiddling and just as easy as she has found the MAM Crystal Soother.
Settling her down for the night I dimmed the light only to be pleasantly surpised at how effective the glow in the dark feature actually is. Even with dimmed lighting I could clearly see the blue glow that is emitted from the MAM knob of the soother. I am hoping that when Isabelle begins to associate the glow her soother it will prevent those moments during the night when I am woken by an upset baby because she has lost her soother in the cot. For now I will be able to locate the soother before all hell breaks loose.
The designs on the soothers are suitable for boys and girls , I opted for the blue designs (the only ones available in store for me at the time)There are a few designs to choose from, all of them having cute and attractive images.
I have tried Isabelle on many Orthodontic shaped soothers before but as most of them have a funny angle on the teat she has never been interested and this frustrated her. This is where MAM sooothers have been my saviour, not only are the teats orthodontic meaning they are ideal for baby’s jaw and teeth development but she also likes the shape of them.
As with all MAM products these soothers are BPA Free so no need to worry there.
The soothers come in a pack of two in their own unique case which allows for sterilization of the product without the need for a seperate container (Excellent idea) this saves alot of time.
It has been nearly two hours since I put her to bed and we have not had a peep, she still has her soother and shows no sign of letting it go just yet.
I would have liked to have provided pictures of the item in action but due to the flash on the camera, I do not think it is worth waking up a grumpy baby.
Result = So far so good!
Still rather happy with her new soothers in the morning
