Zuru Rainbocorns Big Bow Surprise – Review

Zuru Rainbocorn

Little Leg’s absolutely adores plushies and surprise unboxings so when we were sent the Zuru Rainbocorns Big Bow Surprise Egg she couldn’t wait to see what was inside. We’ve purchased Rainbocorns before but never had the big surprise eggs, so it was the best day ever for a child that enjoys watching unboxing videos on YouTube.

Along with the Rainbocorn Big Bow Surprise Egg that contains 25 surprises, we were also sent the smaller Zuru Rainbocorn Sparkle Heart Surprise that contains 5 surprises inside.

So, what is a Rainbocorn?

Don’t worry, I had to ask Little Leg’s what they were, and she informed me that they are cute rainbow animal unicorn hybrids with hearts for tummies. They kind of remind me of cross between a Carebear and a Popple from my youth but with added extra surprises. Little Leg’s was definitely right, they are pretty cute.

Rainbocorn Big Bow Surprise

Let’s talk about the Big Bow Surprise Egg, it’s pretty big. Bigger than I was expecting. After unwrapping a couple of layers, you are left with a giant gold egg with a sparkling pink sequin heart and pretty rainbow coloured sequin bow (we later learned this bow was detachable so could be worn).

The sequin heart has a hidden picture as the sequins are reversible but Little Legs wanted to leave the heart as it was until she had discovered what plushie would hatch out of her giant golden egg.

Llamacorn
The egg opened in two parts to reveal what is inside. Little Legs was delighted when she realised that she had hatched Bobbi the Llamacorn. Llamas happen to be one of her current favourite animals so a Llamacorn was a big hit. There are 3 Rainbocorns to collect in the Big Bow Surprise series, the other two include Belle the Flamingocorn and Bowie the Unicorn.

Underneath the plush toy you will find 3 Bow-Bowcorn eggs and 25 surprises, including hair accessories, snap bands and pencil toppers and more.

The plushie itself is actually really soft and great quality, we popped his sequin heart on so that we could reveal the hidden picture on the reverse side of the sequins. We discovered that Bobbi was the proud owner of a sequin burger heart.

The surprises in the egg all come in little blind bag style packaging, which is a big hit with children, I’m yet to meet a child that doesn’t like blind bags.

There are so many little goodies in the bags including my favourite, a fluffy snap band.

Little Legs began opening the Rainbocorn Sparkle Heart Surprise whilst I cleared away the rubbish from the Big Bow Surprise Opening. Inside is 1 of 6 different little plush toys, Little Legs was thrilled to discover she had hatched another Llamacorn, so the bigger Llamacorn now had a baby. Inside the egg there’s also a colour changing Boo-Boocorn and a packet of Rainbocorn Poop (which is a soft, squishy, fluffy type slime). We stored the Rainbocorn Poop inside the empty Boo-Boocorn egg so that it wouldn’t dry out.

We both had a lot of fun discovering the surprises in both the Rainbocorn Big Bow Surprise and the Rainbocorn Sparkle Heart Surprise. Little Leg’s particularly enjoyed opening the blind bags so that was a really fun experience for her. I can imagine that opening all those surprises would be a big hit with most children.

Rainbocorn
The Rainbocorns Big Bow Surprise has an RRP of £49.99 which can seem a little expensive but when you add up all that you get inside the egg plus the quality of the plush toy, I think its actually a reasonable price. It is available from the following retailers; Amazon, Argos, and the Entertainer but there is currently £10 off the Rainbocorn Big Bow Surprise at Smyths Toy Store.

The cute, smaller Rainbocorn Sparkle Heart Surprise has an RRP of £9.99 which doesn’t really break the bank and is what you would expect for a toy of this size.  The Sparkle Heart Surprises would make a great stocking filler for Christmas, I know that Little Leg’s has put in a special request to find one in her stocking.

Little Leg’s really enjoyed opening the Rainbocorn surprises, and the Llamacorns have now joined her other favourite plushies on her bed. We would both definitely recommend them to others.

You can find out more about the Zuru Rainbocorn Big Bow Surprise on the Zuru Website, it has games, colouring pages and also unboxing videos for children to enjoy.
