We’ve been rather quiet over the festive period but here’s what we have been up to (apologies for the quality of the pictures, some appear to have been taken with a potato)
From left to right
It’s not winter without a new hat scarf and mitten set, every year we purchase new ones and I adore my set from Accessorize.
Here we have the obligaroty Santa hat photo, Little Legs was less than pleased at my attempts.
How fantastic are these Santa sacks? The Mr surpirsed us with this sack for Little Legs, I think it’s fantastic. As she gets older, I think she will appreciate it more
The Christmas Tree, this year it has had a puppy, cat and four year old to contend with, it’s faired rather well considering. I’ll be sad to see it go.
Mulled Cider, how have I lived all year without this? Thanks to Aldi I have discovered my winter tipple. If I can’t get my mittens on this then a Winter Rekorderlig will do the job nicely.
Putting up the Christmas Tree was exciting business, some were more festive than others.
Last year in the gails, I lost my Christmas wreath. This year I have secured that bad boy on and it’s still hanging.
Santa Hat selfie, i’m well and truly in the Christmas spirit now. I’ve always been a lover of the festive season but since having Little Leg’s, it’s become a whole new experience that I get to share with my little one.
Hot chocolates by the fire with an abundance of marshmallows are the only acceptable way to spend a cold winters evening.
The Mr and I sporting some rather fetching winter jumpers, they are a must in the festive season.
This year we were able to spend Christmas day with my Nana, she’s one of my favourite people, my best friend and it was lovely to spend the day with her.
Little Legs was spoilt rotten this year, I am still playing a game of living room Jenga trying to fit everything in.
Stockings, is there anything more festive than hanging your stockings on the fireplace? No, no there isn’t.
Mulled Cider and a mince pie, this featured quite a lot in the evenings. I have to eat all the mince pies when I can as I miss them when they are gone.
I’m actually quite proud of our Santa Plate, after discovering that they were a thing just a few days before Christmas, it was too late to order one. Instead we made our own and it doesn’t look too shabby (well after cleaning off the scorch marks from leaving it in the oven for too long)
This year we were prepared to capture those magical moments on Christmas morning, as it happens we didn’t quite get the reaction that we expected from Little Leg’s. “How did Santa get that down the chimney?”
Obi was the little superstar on Christmas morning, opening his own presents excitedly and helping us with ours too.
Little Legs could barely contain her excitement this year, she even entertained my constant need for picture taking
So there we have it folks, our Christmas in nutshell.
Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!
