There’s one thing I love more that Christmas and that is Christmas food, I love the Christmas dinner, the left overs, the chocolates, snacks, puddings and the festive party food.
One of my fondest memories has always been the festive buffet style dinners; you know the kind that I mean with the party food of tiny miniatures, the classic vol-au-vents, breaded prawns, filo tartlets & blinis all shared with my family. The fridges, freezers and cupboards all full to the brim with food and tasty treats and no matter how stuffed you were after Christmas lunch, you always found yourself having a few nibbles like Cadburys roses whilst watching the Muppets Christmas Carol.
These are the memories that stick with me because food tends to bring families together, whether its baking minced pies in the kitchen with Nana or sat around the table enjoying a sumptuous feast, you are there to enjoy it with family and friends.
That’s one of the things that I adore about Christmas, bringing friends and family together to share and enjoy each other’s company with the added bonus of some good food thrown in there to.
