Planning Ahead

Yes I am one of those annoying people that loves to plan and if that’s not enough to make you grit your teeth, then hold onto you seats, right now I’m already planning for Christmas! Yes that’s right, you read that correctly, I’m planning for Christmas already. No I’m not crazy, I know that it is only April, we’re still in the first quarter of the year but this year for Christmas I want to do something different.

ski lodge

I want real snow, not the kind we get here where if we are lucky we have snow for a few days before it turns into a city of slush and all public transport comes to a halt. I want real snow where I can ski during the day and then head back to a cosy log cabin in the evening and relax by a roaring log fire, to be quite honest, the likelihood of that happening in the UK is pretty slim, so I’m planning that all important trip. I haven’t been skiing for quite a while and the Mr would like to try his hand at snowboarding, we do have the indoor slope at the Chill Factor but it’s not the same. I want the full experience and the only way I can get it is to go and hunt it down myself, I need that snow guarantee.

skiingIt’s not really something I have looked into doing before but i know that I want a full package including the required ski lessons and possibly ski hire for our vacation, I’d also like a lift pass thrown in for good measure, that way I don’t have to worry about the extras other than making a lovely family Christmas vacation to remember. We’re going to be booking through Snowtrex, they tick all of my boxes to provide the perfect winter wonderland package for me in a self catering lodge, for information on snowtrex or to book your winter getaway you can visit the website.
