Parents of small children everywhere will know that Peppa Pig is quite the celebrity when it comes to toddlers and pre-schoolers and Little Legs is no exception to that.She adores Peppa and Peppa’s little brother George so I knew that when we were sent the Peppa Pig Muddy Puddles Deluxe Playhouse to review that Little Legs would be over the moon.
It actually arrived whilst Little Legs was at nursery so I took the opportunity to have it set up all ready for when she came home. Little Legs loves these kind of playsets with the little recognisable characters, they are great for imaginative play so she was ready to get stuck in straight away.
The playset is actually self contained so everything including the characters and furniture are stored inside the Playhouse which has a little twisting lock in the roof to keep it closed, this makes keeping everything together a lot easier especially when it comes to tidying away.
The Playhouse comes complete with all the furniture you require plus a little Peppa and George character figurine to get you started. Setting up was easy, the side of the house opens up to reveal the Playhouse inside which contains the kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom area as well as some outside space (complete with muddy puddles.) The stairs to the Playhouse have to be removed when you are packing away but that only takes a couple of seconds to do to make sure that everything is nice and compact for storage. We did find that putting the stairs back on again was quite the fiddly job for Little Legs so she required some assistance with that.
The furniture includes a set of bunk beds, a bathtub, stairs, dining table, sofas and a tv set which are all quite chunky so not easy to break. The house itself is rather cute and the attention to details like the pictures on the walls and muddy footprints on the floor, really make this playset stand out.
Straight away Little Legs set to recreating one of her favourite shows (including voices) which involved lots of muddy puddles and baths for both Peppa and George. She has loved role playing with them and has even taken to mixing up her sets that that Peppas friends can play too. Little legs has never tired with the Playhouse and it has been played with every single day since it’s arrival, it’s definitely been a huge hit with her.
The Playhouse can easily be played alongside other Peppa Pig toys in it’s range as the figurines are of the same size/height. It’s certainly a great little playset for any Peppa Pig fan.
Overall we give the Peppa Pig Muddy Puddles Deluxe Playhouse a big thumbs up. Since it’s a self storing playset, it makes it the perfect toy to be taking to Nana’s house at the weekend. It’s certainly a toy that I would expect to be popular for Christmas this year.
